Wow, $84 to $133 for a typewriter was a great deal of money in 1958!
I'm glad I wasn't a teenager back then. It would have taken many months to earn that much money for a beloved typewriter -- which of course I would have begged my parents insistently for!

Actually, these prices seem pretty reasonable to me - $84 in 1958 would be $670 today, $133 slightly above $1000 - about the cost of a good notebook.
